Joined in 1989 as a senior DJ and then became a partner due to company growth.  Rick’s specialty is his knowledge of all types of music and knowing “what to play and when to play it”. He is a seasoned disc jockey that will make your affair a huge success. He currently leads our team of talented disc jockeys, overseeing and choosing the right DJ for your affair. Rick prepares customized music lists for every affair. Then he meets with your DJ prior to your party to ensure that everything will be perfect.

Joined in 1996 to handle event planning, theme parties and business management.  Since joining the Upbeat team, her background in business and production has been a major asset.  She also works with the DJ’s, coordinating dance motivators, as well as producing themes for all affairs.  UPBEAT ENTERTAINMENT has now expanded into offering many different party services.
     

The Background of Upbeat Entertainment:

In 1987 Upbeat Entertainment began performing at private parties. After a few years we became the house entertainment for two major Long Island hotels, the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, NY and the Marriott Wind Watch in Hauppauge. After noticing that more and more entertainment companies were sending out the same DJ’s for all different types of affairs, we decided to take another approach. We specialize in  “custom DJ’s” for each type of party.  We set our standards high and train our DJ’s for various types of affairs and this is what has made us unique. 

In 1995 we set our sights further into live bands, from duo’s to 12 piece orchestras.  We have the same theory for our live bands as we do for our DJ’s.  There is not one band that can play all types of music. That is why we carefully pick the right band for your affair based on the type of music you want to hear.  We are thankful to the many talented musicians that we have used for all of our events. 

In 1997 we began offering theme parties from the roaring 20’s to Motown themes, to Caribbean parties, to 50’s & 60’s parties, plus many more.  If you can think of it, we have the ability to turn your home or hall into a theme that you will never forget.
